Cookies and other technologies policy

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive, or on your mobile phone or other device. Tracking pixels do not identify individual users, and the analysis of data obtained by tracking pixels is performed on an aggregate basis.

By using the Site, navigating around it and using our Services, you agree to the use of cookies and tracking pixels. You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can modify your browser settings to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you however from taking full advantage of the Site in some cases.

Once you agree to the use of cookies, the file is added and the cookie helps analyze web traffic and allows web applications to respond to you as an individual: such web application can then tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes, by gathering and remembering information about your preferences. Like most websites, we use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyze data and improve our Site in accordance with customer needs.

Cookies help us improve our website, by enabling us to monitor the pages you find useful. However, a cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us as detailed above.

Furthermore, when you visit the Site or open one of our emails, we may allow authorized third parties, such as but not limited to ad servers, ad agencies, and ad research firms, to place a unique cookie, pixel, and/or similar technologies on your browser in order to provide you relevant em-om advertisements as you surf the internet. These advertisements may be targeted to you based on information these authorized third parties know or infer about you and include in the cookies placed on your browser, and/or on information about your internet browsing activities gathered through your browser.

We might also use Google Analytics to measure Site usage and improve our users’ experience. The relevant data is provided to us by Google in the aggregate (i.e., individual users are not identified) and allows us to better understand our Site audience. The Google Analytics features might allow us (i) to evaluate and generate reports on certain demographic, behavioral, and interest metrics of users collected by Google, and (ii) to create advertising campaigns based on such metrics.

Users can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads using the Ads Settings form at

Social media features

Our Site might include social media features. These features may collect your IP address, the URL of the page you are visiting on our Site, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features might either be hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Site. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it.

Use of Collected Information

The information we collect may be used for our legitimate business interests, such as: (1) to improve our Services, (2) to enable us to provide a safer platform and Services for our users, and (3) to help us communicate with you. For instance, we may use your information to register and service your account and postings; contact you to check your potential interest in a job we think may be suitable for you, even if such job is not posted online on the em-om platform and is being conducted through a private search for a client of em-om; contact you to reply to your questions or solicit feedback and input from you; notify you about new features, new services, updates and special offers, or other information that we believe will be of interest to you via email, SMS messages, or other media or networks; enable searching for Families and Caregivers based on the information made available on the Site and information others have provided about them; connect Families with Caregivers that appear to meet their needs and preferences; verify information you provide us; personalize promotional content on the Site, via email or other ads on or third party sites.

We may aggregate and/or de-identify information collected by the Site, the Services, or through other channels so that the information is not intended to identify you. Our use and disclosure of such aggregated and/or de-identified information is not subject to any restrictions under this Privacy Policy, and we may use the same and disclose it to others without limitation and for any purpose.
